This course is designed to help you develop your own football technical and tactical skills, alongside the study of coaching and fitness training. You will be given the skills needed to examine your own play, and that of your team, ensuring you develop as a player whilst at FEFA.
WORK PLACEMENT
Regular guest speakers and industry experts will deliver on this program. Second year students will have a work placement at a professional football academy, leisure centre or coaching environment.
SUBJECTS
Over the course of two years you will complete 19 units to give you a broad knowledge of Performance and Excellence in Football. Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition, Fitness Testing and practical Sports Coaching are just some of the units that you will be assessed on.
PROGRESSION
Upon successful completion of this course FEFA students have gone on to Apprenticeships, USA Scholarships, employment and University. Typical degree courses for FEFA graduates have been Sport and Exercise Science, Sports Nutrition and Sports therapy.
ASSESSMENT
This course is assessed 100% coursework. You will be expected to deliver presentations, write reports/essays and deliver practical sessions. This course is equivalent to 3 A Levels.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All students wishing to enrol at FEFA must attend an interview. Three GCSEs at grade 4 or above (Three GCSEs at C or above where letter grades are being used) to include English Language, Mathematics.
DURATION
This is a 2 year full time course.

OVERVIEW
This course is designed to help you develop your own football technical and tactical skills, alongside the study of sport and exercise science. This course also specifically prepares you for a role in sports science, sports medicine and physiotherapy working with elite performers, such as those at football clubs.

This course is assessed 42% exams set and marked by the Awarding Body (4 exams over two years). 58% coursework. You will be expected to deliver presentations, write reports/essays and deliver practical sessions. This course is equivalent to 3 A Levels.
